Partial Birth Abortion Ban Upheld
In one of the last decisions handed down during the 2007 session, the US Supreme Court upheld the Partial Birth Abortion Ban enacted by the Congress. The decision is a victory for the pro-life movement. While limiting a particularly gruesome procedure, the ban, and subsequent court decision, educated the public about the realities of abortion on demand during the entire nine months of a woman's pregnancy.

About Us

Mission Statement:
Nevada Right to Life is engaged in educational, charitable and legislative action that affirms the God-given dignity and rights of every human being - from conception to natural death.

As the statewide affiliate of the National Right to Life Committee, we address issues such as abortion and fetal development, cloning and stem cell research, euthanasia and assisted suicide, and any other "life issue."

Our goal in providing information and assistance is to further a "Culture of Life" in our society. Your help and involvement are welcomed and encouraged.

Organization Overview:
Nevada Right to Life (501c4) is statewide, non-profit, non-sectarian educational organization. Through the peaceful and legal means of education, legislation, and political action, NVRTL works to support right to life issues through all phases of the electoral process including educating and empowering voters about right to life. NVRTL will have a presence in Carson City during the next legislative session and will provide voter guides for the 2004 Presidential Election.

Pro-Life League (501c3) is the Northern Nevada educational arm of Nevada Right to Life. The Pro-Life League's focus is educating teens and young adults about all "life issues." Fundraising support is used to produce educational materials, events, and provide a speaker's bureau to Northern Nevada.

Nevada Right to Life welcomes volunteers.

What We Do:

» Offer community outreach and educational programs on abortion, partial-birth abortion, the morning after pill, euthanasia, human cloning, and stem cell research to churches, schools, colleges, and community groups.
» Provide pro-life educational materials such as books, videos, pamphlets, and articles for use at churches, schools, fairs, and other public forums.
» Develop and maintain a grassroots network of Nevadans who advocate for life issues with their elected state and federal representatives.
» Support appropriate legislation that helps protect the right to life of all innocent human beings.
» Publish a monthly newsletter to educate our community about current pro-life issues.
